Everyone knows vinyl is recession proof, heck it seems to be everything proof.
Over the past decade, vinyl records have made a major comeback. In America for example people purchased US$1.2 billion of records in 2022, a 20% jump from the previous year.
Not only did sales rise, but they also surpassed CD sales for the first time since 1988, according to a new report from the Recording Industry Association of America.
Lets see if that spills over to the UK! If HMV is anything to go by we know where this is going. People have a thirst for collectables, and vintage goods that represent the quality music of old, specially in an era of endless digital garbage.
We here at Musikzombie are thrilled to get to see it first hand. We believe in the importance of community and the arts, bringing people together in this crazy world, VINYL WILL NEVER DIE.
