Coming in hot with this absolute banger, New York based Producer PKOLO has demonstrated exactly how he has earned his Platinum and Gold. 'Your Love' keeps it simple, there are literally no gimmicks, just a sick beat and clever chords that feel insanely fresh, it is impossible not to be totally engaged. His style is really unique and you can hear his signature has been intentionally woven into the track. Seriously, if you have giant dope ass speakers, I highly recommend you pump the volume up! The production on this is tight and it has been masterfully mastered (trying saying that after a couple tequilas) I love seeing the fruition of a talented artists work finding the light, as PKOLO can attest, there is no overnight success, there is only the grind...and boy has he been grinding!
I don't generally do star ratings, but this is definitely a 5 star offering and I am definitely a fan. I got to catch up with the man himself and it went a little like this;
First off, we love the track! Where do you get your inspiration from?
Thanks, Try making music with "your love"... There is nothing left but "your love"... Your Love is magical. Inspiration occurs spontaneously, without intention, therefore my inspiration usually comes from anything or anyone during that period of my life. And it doesn't have to be much, sometimes it can be from the way someone acts towards a situation that inspires me
It's been a weird couple of years, how have you kept yourself motivated and working on new music?
When you find something that you love and were born to do, that comes second nature after working several hours, days, weeks, and years by practicing it. it can make a big impact on your drive after discovering that you weren't really good at anything else.
What do you want people to feel when they listen to the track?
The youthful, passionate yearning that can never be denied is yours to explore at the piano, on the guitar, or in your heart if you dare. Music is an escape for lots of people and when this track is played by anyone I want them to feel out of this world like something you can meditate to while having fun (hear the chords progression through your soul)
What is it about EDM that drew you in and made you decide to pursue a career making this kind of music?
3 words: Festivals, festivals, festivals
How did you get started in music to begin with, and where do you see yourself going forward?
I got started in music at a very young age in Haiti with my older brother and after relocating to the states, We opened up a recording studio where we excel our skill in the community then the rest was history. Going forward, I see myself in big arenas with thousands of people bumping my music while inspiring others as well in the music world.
If you could give any piece of advice to your younger self, what would that be?
